Hi, I’m Anbarasan

I’m a software engineer working on Kubernetes-based systems and database infrastructure, with a focus on making stateful workloads behave reliably in production.

I’ve been working in software and infrastructure for close to two decades, across backend systems, distributed setups, and production operations.

What I Work On

Most of my work revolves around:

I tend to focus more on how systems recover and behave under stress, not just how they work in ideal conditions.

Current Focus

Right now, I’m working on running MariaDB with replication and failover inside Kubernetes, including setups that span across clusters.

I’m also experimenting with running AI models locally and exploring how they can fit into practical development workflows.

Side Projects & Interests

I like building small, practical tools-usually things that solve a specific problem or simplify something I’ve had to deal with.

I also run tabletop RPGs occasionally and have been exploring simple tools in that space.

About This Site

This is where I document what I’m working on, things I’ve tried (including what didn’t work), and notes that might be useful to others working on similar problems.

Contact

If you’re working on similar problems around Kubernetes or databases, I’m always open to exchanging ideas.
